When it is just 'Holy Spirit', it is something He does, out of Himself, a manifestation. In Joel 2:28, we read God will 'pour out of His Spirit' out of Him, some of Him. However, the wonderful thing to note is this, that what the Holy Spirit does is of Himself - He pours Himself out, and each gift is a manifestation of Himself. The power of the Spirit is the Spirit, not some other power He makes."
The Holy Spirit is truly the Executor of the Godhead - all He does is real, and being God, He does great things. When in faith and obedience, we take action in service, under His endowment He Himself appears in one or other of His divine abilities. There are nine miraculous endowments given by the Holy Spirit to Spirit-filled believers as described in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. They have been classified into three groups by early Pentecostal and present-day charismatic writers. They can be stated as KNOWING gifts, DOING gifts, and SPEAKING gifts.
