2. PARTICIPATION EXERCISES FOR ALL THE FAMILY

Should there be some of the family who have not yet begun to drink at Joel's Place, take the positive steps from the teaching of the Lord Jesus, who is the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. These steps are found in,

John 7:37-39 "On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; ..."

The ones to receive sit on chairs in the center of the family, let one lay hands on them.

Acts 19:6 "And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied."

Now let the receiver take each step by faith.

If a man is thirsty (John 7:37 ). The believer who is thirsty qualifies for the baptism in the Spirit. Tell the Baptizer, the Lord Jesus that you are thirsty for the Holy Spirit fullness.

Let him come to me (John 7:37 ). Coming implies putting your mind on the Lord Jesus, worship Him, be fully taken up with Him. Acknowledge His Lordship over your whole personality, your spirit, soul and body.

And drink (John 7:37 ). Drink of the Holy Spirit with your mind occupied with Jesus, literal inward drinking. Drink greedily, keep drinking until you know, by the conscious anointing that rests upon you that you are full to overflowing.

Whoever believes as the scripture has said (John 7:38 ). The 120 on the Day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon them began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them (Acts 2:4 ). By co-operating with the Holy Spirit enabling you too can have exactly what they had. Why have anything less? You can have new tongues in the same way, by believing and beginning to speak new sounds in complete dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Drink your fill and begin. The scripture promises that your mouth will be filled,

Proverbs 18:4 "The words of a man's mouth are deep waters; ..."

Proverbs 10:11 "The mouth of the righteous is a well of life, ..."

Acts 19:6 "And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied."

Streams of living water will flow from within (John 7:38 ). By this He meant the Spirit. The streams of sweet flowing utterances, flowing through your co-operating faith. The source of these new tongues is the enabling of the Spirit. The flowing stream starts and stops by your act of willing faith. You are baptized in the Holy Spirit. You are drinking at Joel's Place.

There will follow in your experience, other manifestations of the Holy Spirit,

1 Corinthians 12:8-10 "for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues."

Now that all the family are baptized in the Spirit everyone begin to sing in their new languages to the Lord. You are now released like Paul, so that you can decide, "I will sing with my spirit" (1 Corinthians 14:15 ).
