10.7. BE BLESSED (Hebrews 13:20-25)

What a summary of truth this closing prayer contains (Hebrews 13:20-21 ). An outpouring of confident expression that his readers would attain maturity and blessings.

10.7.1. THAT UPON WHICH ASSURANCE IS FOUNDED

Hebrews 13:20 "Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant," (KJV)

10.7.2. BLESSINGS EXPECTED IN ANSWER TO PRAYER

Hebrews 13:21 "Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (KJV)

What a privilege and joy to serve Him.

10.7.3. GREAT BLESSING IS FOUND IN GOING ON

Hebrews 13:22 "And I appeal to you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words." (NKJV)

The burden of the letter is that they, the Hebrews, and now us, go on to maturity in Christ, and be strong in faith. Let all the blessings of going on be realised in you. The Epistle closes with good news about Timothy and respected leaders (Hebrews 13:23 ). Greeting to leaders from leaders and saints (Hebrews 13:24 ), and the expressed desire that we experience every form of God's great grace (Hebrews 13:25 ).

  QUESTIONS FOR GROUP INTERACTION
