4.2. PERMEATED WITH THE POWERS OF THE AGE TO COME

4.2.1. DESCRIPTION OF THE POWERS TO COME

KJV Malachi 4:2 "But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall."

KJV Isaiah 33:24 "And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity."

Believers then:

KJV 1 Corinthians 15:54 "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

4.2.2. A PRESENT FORETASTE OF THE POWERS TO COME

KJV Hebrews 6:5 "And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,"

Know Him as the Son of righteousness - healing saturating His people. No one able to say they are sick. The giving of the Holy Spirit is that we may taste the powers to come.

KJV 2 Corinthians 5:4-5 "For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit."

KJV 2 Timothy 1:10 "But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:"

We can taste the victory over sickness and death now. The reality of victory over death is cause for thanksgiving.

KJV 1 Corinthians 15:57 "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

4.3. PERMEATED WITH HOLY SPIRIT RESURRECTION LIFE

KJV Romans 8:11 "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

4.3.1. HE GIVES LIFE TO OUR MORTAL BODIES

A verse applicable to the present - not with our immortal - but our mortal bodies. The Holy Spirit dwells in you - not an occasional visitor but a permanent, active resident. The resurrection of Jesus is the measure of His power within you. His Spirit is within you in His revitalising power. When you are sick, the Spirit restores you to health. In the same way He raised Jesus, He raises you from the tomb of sickness and death to energised health.

4.3.2. HE GIVES DOMINION OVER AFFLICTION AND INFIRMITIES

As with sin, so with affliction or infirmity - "shall not have dominion over you" (Romans 6:14 ). It is possible to function in the life of the Spirit as though the infirmity had been removed. Live in divine health as though the body had no disease.

4.3.3. HE CAUSES "GIFTS OF HEALING" TO FLOW IN US, AND QUICKENS WITH CREATIVE MIRACLES

As resident resurrection life He raises up the sick - every member of the body responds to His life.

KJV 1 Corinthians 6:14 "And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power."

He will and He does. Those practising known, willful sin will know Him as the destroyer of the mortal body.

KJV 1 Corinthians 6:13 "Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body."

Living the discriminating life in the Spirit keeps from being brought under even lawful things.

KJV 1 Corinthians 6:12 "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any."

The key to our divine health in the Spirit, is the truth that "the Lord is for the body" (1 Corinthians 6:13 ). He does not disdain the mortal body of the believer. There are those who do not understand that salvation includes the whole man. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

NKJV 1 Corinthians 6:19 "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?"

Some would limit the Holy Spirit to the temple of the human spirit. That is indeed so, but truth asserts the body is the temple. God is for the body.

KJV Romans 8:31 "... If God be for us, who can be against us?"

Living in these truths our bodies are permeated with divine health.
