INTRODUCTION

"Change threatens many of us, and we struggle to keep things the same. But change is built into the very structure of the universe. "That which is seen," Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 4:18, "is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." Anything that you and I can touch or see or feel can and will change. Only God beyond the universe is stable and unchanging." Lawrence O. Richards' Zondervan Expository Dictionary of Bible Word. Copyright 1985, 1991 by Zondervan Corporation

God is immutable. This means He never changes, He is always the same, He is unchangeable. Immutability is a divine, non- communicable attribute - known to us by special revelation of God's Word. Without God's revelation of Himself we cannot know Him.
