To God alone belongs the title "the King eternal" (1 Timothy 1:17 ), for to none other than the Godhead can the word "eternal" apply. Paul uses the descriptive word of God in an outburst of praise for amazing grace by which he, the chief of sinners, had obtained mercy. As recipients of like mercy, spontaneous praise should burst from our hearts to the eternal God our Redeemer.
To know the Eternal through believing on Jesus Christ is to receive everlasting life (1 Timothy 1:15-17 ). God is eternal. The Bible teaches it. Our comprehension of this awesome truth is limited, but as we bow before the Scripture revelation, we can rejoice in the incredible benefits of knowing God is eternal.
Our method of study consists of asking a leading question, giving a key Scripture reference, arriving at an answer and then concluding the teaching with questions for group interaction.
