1 Thessalonians 5:23 "and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (NKJV)
Man is threefold - three in one.
Exodus 26:1 "Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread;" (NKJV)
Each curtain in the tabernacle was made of three colours, blue, purple, scarlet; three in one.
Exodus 27:9 "You shall also make the court of the tabernacle. For the south side there shall be hangings for the court made of fine woven linen, one hundred cubits long for one side." (NKJV)
Exodus 26:33 "And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy." (NKJV)
There was one tabernacle, but there was the Holy of Holies, the holy place, and the outer court: three in one.
Leviticus 23:34 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the LORD.'" (NKJV)
Leviticus 23:5 "On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord's Passover." (NKJV)
Exodus 34:22 "And you shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the year's end." (NKJV)
We have named the three principle Jewish feasts.
1. The Feast of TabernaclesA feast that is associated with God the Father, who, while the children of Israel were dwelling in tents in the Wilderness, Himself also dwelt in a tent amongst them. God the Father had said,
Exodus 25:8 "And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them." (NKJV)
Giving a faint foretaste of that blessed time to come when it shall once more be said,
Revelation 21:3 "And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God." (NKJV)
2. The Feast of PassoverThe main feature of the Passover was the celebration of redemption by blood. A feast clearly associated with God the Son. It was on the occasion of this feast that Christ was crucified.
3. The feast of Pentecost(Acts 2:1 ). "Pentecost" is the Greek word for fifty - the fiftieth day from the waving of the sheaf of the firstfruits. See Leviticus 23:15-16. This Feast of Pentecost represents the Holy Spirit. It was on this day that the Lord came down in fire on Mount Sinai, (Exodus 19:11 ), and it was on this day the Holy Spirit came down in tongues like as of fire on the Early Church (Acts 2:3 ). In these feasts the members of the Godhead are manifested.
Numbers 6:24 "The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." (NKJV)
The pronouncement of the high priestly blessing suggests:
"The LORD" (Father) (Numbers 6:24 ) "The LORD" (Son) (Numbers 6:25 ) "The LORD" (Spirit) (Numbers 6:26 )
Isaiah 6:3 "And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!" (NKJV)
This plural praise suggests worship of the one triune Godhead. "Holy" (Father). "Holy" (Son). "Holy" (Spirit). Three Persons - full of His glory (one Godhead).
