3.5 EXHORTATION NOT TO BE WEARY (2 Thessalonians 3:13)

2 Thessalonians 3:13 "But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good".

This is the way to silence the criticisms levelled at believers because of the unruly. Well doing of good works is a testimony of salvation in Christ. Good works reveal Christ to others, whereas the idle busybodies should be disciplined. This should not shut our eyes to the truly needy, nor keep our hands from doing good. A good exercise is to sit down and write a list of well doing in which we could become involved.

3.6 EXHORTATION TO BE PEACEFUL (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

2 Thessalonians 3:16 "Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way, the Lord be with you all."

Even in times of trouble, dwelling deep in the Lord of peace, we can know peace continually (Romans 15:33; 16:20; Hebrews 13:20-21 ).

3.7 EXHORTATION TO BE ASSURED (2 Thessalonians 3:17,18)

2 Thessalonians 3:17 "The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is a sign in every epistle; so I write."

This is a genuine letter - stressed in view of the false letters used by treacherous teachers. This letter along with the other Scriptures has proven to be the very Word of God. (2 Peter 3:15-16 ). All other teaching stands or falls by the test of the Scriptures.

2 Thessalonians 3:18 "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen".

We shall know that grace throughout our pilgrimage - till we meet Jesus. Be assured, the Lord is coming.
